The main aim is therefore to provide a general approach to the issue, from the prevention of pollution (water, air and waste processing) to the management of sites contaminated by human activities. Although this general approach is naturally taught through its technical and scientific aspects, it is crucial to include economic, sociological and ethical aspects to gain a sustainable approach to the issue.
